Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

2011 wrapped up to a good end; heading back to New Hampshire and spending time with some great people.

2011 was an event filled year for Dan and I. Highlights of the year were going on a cruise, Dan proposing at the top of Castle in the Clouds, our road trip from NH to OK, getting married!!, an amazing Honeymoon in Puerto Rico and then hoping on a plane and moving to Oklahoma!

I think last year is going to be hard to top! But we have so many things to look forward to! January 17th Dan and I hit the road and we are off to California till the Summer. I’m looking forward to all of the new adventures to come and can’t wait to explore the state.

This past week has been so much fun! We fit in so much. Between a candlelit service, delicious food at Brian and Kait’s house, hiking, shopping with my mom and Boston, I think there is too much to write about in this little page! I don’t think I could have had a better holiday!

This weekend was fun. It was kind of nice to have a relaxing weekend. Dan and I made a Gingerbread house! It was a lot of fun, but more difficult than I think we were anticipating. I didn’t remember Gingerbread houses being so involved, but i proudly texted a few people a picture when I was done. haha
Yesterday we had an interesting thing happen to us! We went to the movies and about 15 minutes into the movie, the screen suddenly went black. Then the projector guy came out saying that there is smoke coming out of the projector and to give him a few more minutes! In a few minutes, he came back and said that the film fried. They allowed us to go into another movie and gave us a ticket stub to come back again for free. We lucked out that the movie next door just started. So we ended up getting to see 2 movies. But it was a strange experience. Only in Enid, America.
But I can’t wait until Christmas!! :) Only one more weekend now!

Off to California!

Dan finally heard back from the board. After Christmas we are moving to Vandenburg AFB in central California! And a new adventure begins.. Yay!

So happy the Fam came to visit this weekend!

Friday night there was a little Christmas festival. So on our way back from Oklahoma city (and doing some Black Friday shopping), we caught some beautiful fireworks and walked around downtown Enid. It was a great start, to a great weekend. Saturday I think we were all little exhaused from the week, but we spend the day exploring the town and decorating the house for christmas. At night we played games and watched a movie. It was great!

It was so nice to get to spend some time with them. Saturday we went to the Zoo, Fazoli’s, Krispy Creme, the Old-fashioned themed movie theater and a very unique restaurant called POPS 66, on the old historic Route 66. They have over 600 kinds of soda, everything from bacon soda, buffalo wing soda, Pineapple soda, to the classic’s of cream soda. I love that every place we go/live, there is always something unique and fun to try. But I can’t wait to come home for Christmas! It’s only a few more weeks now!

So funny to watch kids reactions! Halloween at our house was a success. Hopefully none of the parents that came by our house did this to their kids!  Hope you get a laugh!
